Day 2 of #365healthydays

BarreIn 2017, set your barre higher than ever before and inspire yourself to be stronger, faster, stress less. A barre class at Flex in the City is not just a workout – it’s a community of people all working hard towards their goals – some people come for the epic shake (it’s a love to hate it kinda thing 😉 some for the 55 break it gives them from the stress of everyday life, some come to see Molly the Pilates puppy, some come as part of their athletic training, others come as they return to exercise from injury or after having a baby, some come 6 days a week (and have been known to do 2 classes back-to-back!) and some come once or twice a week and love it just as much. For everyone though, no matter what your day-to-day looks like, the barre is a place where there is no competition, it is an encouraging place and your chance to be better than you were yesterday. It’s not easy, the whole class from start to finish is one of the toughest workouts ever, but even as you shake your head as we lift your heels a little bit higher, or take you that ‘half an inch’ lower into the plié so the shake becomes epic (!!) you finish class feeling accomplished, challenged, strong, clear-headed, inspired (even better, inspired by yourself for what you have achieved and not by some celebrity promising you their body if you drink nothing but tea for 2 weeks!) and you feel ready to take on the day. We will be posting some ‘barre at home’ moves over the coming days but the feeling of being in a class is unique, you push yourself harder, you meet some of the nicest people you could imagine. Oh and did we mention we now have a Nespresso machine. Barre first then coffee ? We’ll see you at 6.45am on Tuesday moning for day no 3 of our #365healthydays
