REFORMER LEVEL 1
Reformer Level 1 will build on your basic foundation acquired from your Prep class. We focus on building core strength and flexibility, emphasising optimal, balanced movement. We continue to concentrate on technique and on having fun with your workout, as you discover the strength your body is capable of! We recommend 8-10 Level 1 classes before moving on to Level 2

REFORMER LEVEL 2
In Reformer Level 2, we take it up a notch! Now that you have an excellent foundation and are more aware of how your body moves, we begin to isolate smaller muscle groups for even more balance, strength and flexibility throughout the body.
BARRE IN THE CITY
Barre in the City is the fastest, most effective way to change your body. In just 50 minutes, you will achieve a full-body workout, targeting all those areas you struggle with in traditional workouts – hips, thighs, waist, abdominal’s, arms and seat. We use Pilates, Ballet and Yoga techniques in a low-impact workout which protects your joints. We isolate the muscle group and take it to fatigue and then stretch, in order to create beautiful, long, lean muscle without bulk. The Barre technique works by tapering the body in and lifting everything up!
The concentration involved during a Barre in the City class allows you to switch off from the world, to block out ‘life’ for an hour, creating mental benefits similar to meditation or yoga. We don’t think it gets much better than a transformed body and a clearer head in just one hour (no pounding the treadmill for miles on end required!).
Like every workout at Flex in the City, the Barre technique is intelligent exercise. We sculpt, chisel and reshape the whole body in an efficient, effective and safe way. No two classes are the same – we always use the barre but we will also incorporate small props such as flex-bands, small balls and light weights to add resistance and intensity (not during your first class!).

Private Starter Session
PRIVATE STARTER SESSION
If you are new to Pilates, this is a great opportunity to become familiar with the exercises and the Reformer at your own pace, before joining our small group classes (max. 6 per class). We will assess your posture, strength and flexibility and any injuries or niggles that may be concerning you. We will begin working with you to show you how to get the most out of each exercise. The session lasts about an hour. You can avail of this session on its own for €30 or take advantage of our new client offer of 5 group class passes plus your private starter session for €99.
